Our mission

Our mission is to hold gatherings every week for sacred dance practice where members may, through movement, have inner experiences that encourages awareness of self and community, connection with spirit, and inspiration for daily life.

Who we are

Since the beginning of the new millennium, Embody Dance has been a space for movement, connection, and deep self-expression. Founded in 2000, we are a nonprofit organization run by a team of devoted volunteers who believe in the transformative power of dance. Our diverse community gathers each week to move, release, and celebrate the sacred practice of embodied movement.

Rooted in Gabriel Roth’s 5Rhythms® practice, we hold space for the full spectrum of human experience. Each dance is an invitation to meet yourself exactly as you are in any given moment. There is no right or wrong way to move—only the freedom to express, release, and expand.

Through heart-centered movement and mindful embodiment, we dance a pathway to spirit. The music is our guide, moving us through a sequence of moods and energies that awaken something deeper—offering the opportunity to shed what no longer serves, unlock new layers of creativity, and experience the profound connection between self, community, and the world.

As a volunteer-run community, we are dedicated to keeping Embody Dance an inclusive, welcoming space—open to all ages, abilities, and backgrounds. Whether you come seeking catharsis, play, inspiration, or simply a place to be, you are welcome here.

By dancing together, we cultivate something greater than ourselves. In this shared experience, we tap into the wellspring of renewal and aliveness—nourishing not only our own spirit but also the collective heartbeat of our community and the world.
