Our Mission Statement
The purpose of Embodydance Santa Fe is to hold gatherings every week for sacred practice where members may, through movement, have inner experiences that encourage awareness of self and community, connection with spirit, and inspiration in daily life.
General Manager for Embodydance
The Executive Committee has received 18 applications for the new position of General Manager for our dance community, and candidate selections and interviews are underway. A final candidate will be chosen using a 10-point rating system by a group made up of the Executive Committee, members of the Board of Directors, and our Creative Director. The final candidate will be introduced to the community at our next Community Meeting.
Community Meetings
The next Community Meeting will be held in August (tentative Date August 15). This will be a fun meeting where the Community will meet our new General Manager, our new Board of Directors, and will have the opportunity to review the Executive Committee structure of Embodydance.
The June Community Meeting was held Sunday June 13, 2010, at The Commons, 2300 West Alameda. The meeting opened at 6pm with a potluck meal; following the meal there was an invocation given by Poki Piottin. Important decisions were reached at this meeting regarding the governing structure of the community. The minutes for this meeting are posted on our Community Page.
If you have items for future meetings, or for the Executive Committee, please submit an Agenda Proposal Form so your concerns and ideas can be given the attention they deserve. This is your dance, so please co-create it with the other dancers in our community.

Since the beginning of the new millenium, our diverse group has built community through gathering together in the Dance—something many have come to consider to be a sacred practice. With the intention of providing a container deep and wide enough to accept and hold all parts of those present exactly as they are in any given moment, the totality of self is embraced and authentic nature can come forth.
Being in this inclusive space, people of all ages, abilities and experiences have felt the safety they need to release all that which no longer serves, and the inspiration to freely express themselves as the continual emergence of the new is discovered. The Dance is an opportunity to drop into profound connection with self, community, the world; with Source itself. We encourage you to come dance and find out what it means to you through your own experience.
