Embodydance Santa Fe Community Meeting

Dear Embodydancers,
This Sunday Aug. 15 Community Meeting will be an opportunity for you to meet and socialize with our new General Manager, Marka Smith. We are also going to examine the new Executive Committee structure and evaluate if it should continue; voice our wishes and desires for Embodydance retreats and workshops; discuss changing our By-laws to align with the Community's current structure; and honor Tracy Collins for all she has done over the years for Embodydance.

The meeting will be held at 6pm at The Commons, 2300 West Alameda, in the Community Room. Starting with a potluck meal and a "meet and greet" with Marka, we will follow the Agebda below. Please come and voice your wishes on all these items, and get to know Marka. The meeting will end promptly at 9pm.

Community Meeting Agenda

Agenda Item 1: Introduce the Community to Marka, our new General Manager  (20 min.)

Agenda Item 2: Review of the EC’s effectiveness in supporting ED community decision-making. (40 min)

Agenda Item 3: Formation of a committee to update by-laws so they are consistent with our current operating practices—i.e. consensus minus one, EC’s role, and the role of GM as well as a few other small details. (20 min)

Agenda Item 4: What if anything does the EC community want from an ED retreat or from dance workshops? (15 min)

Agenda Item 5:  Open item for ad hoc Community topic. (Time TBD)

Agenda Item 6:  Recognition of Tracy Collins contribution to our community. (15 min)
